Tell me about it! I was especially struck by how lifeless and creepy some of those photos looked after seeing the very cute pictures of your two not long before I found that site. I really can't see how anyone would think adding dolls' eyes to a baby photo would have anything other than the 'Child's Play' effect...

It's bad enough photo retouching of adults to give us the unatainable images that our youth are constantly being hammered with. Not babies too.

It's just awful on so many levels. Not only do the photos look creepy and lifeless, the whole idea suggests people shouldn't celebrate and love their kids exactly as they are. Instead, they should sacrifice an honest account of their children's lives in the service of having them look 'good'.

Frankly, I wouldn't like to be the kid of some control freak who thinks that drool is a characteristic to be eradicated from the lives of small babies.
