Not much to note on the house hunting front as yet, though I did go and look at a bedsit Southside today. I don't think I'll apply for it, though - I don't yet know enough about what's available in bedsits to really be sure if it's value for money, or at least that it's of the same standard as everything else in my rather shitty price range; there's very little in the way of property in Canberra that could truly be described as 'value for money'.
I also contacted an agency that finds places for people with disabilties either through their own cache of properties gotten through ACT Housing or via public housing more broadly. They seemed competent, and they have access to single person accommodation, which would be ideal. There's a waiting list, but I explained my circumstances and the woman I spoke to said they'd do what they could to fast track my application. There's no way they can give me any kind of timeframe, though.
Heard back about the interview - I didn't get the job. This is neither very surprising nor very upsetting. The job would've been a good foot in the door, but some aspects of it could have posed problems with my disabilities, and photocopying and data entry is not my idea of a stimulating work environment. I think I did well in the interview, though, as far as sounding confident and putting myself forward goes, so at least I know I'm still capable of not developing Tourette's under that kind of pressure.
Oh well. Off to look for jobs...
