... for yesterday, anyway. I had a really good day. Opened all my presents at midnight, as per usual for my impatient self, and spent the day itself out with Cam, shopping for clothes with birthday money in the day, and going out for dinner and a movie in the evening.

"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" is a fantastic film, by the way. I'll probably need to see it again, since we were in a lovely old art deco cinema that was most likely a theatre in a previous incarnation and was very echo-ey as a result. Even Cam said he had trouble hearing in bits. Some of the special effects are quite detailed, too, apparently, so seeing it again in a multinational conglomerate cattle pen (otherwise known as a Senstadium cinema) could be a good idea.

Anyway, present-wise, I did pretty well. Thus far, I've gotten the abovementioned birthday money that got spent on much needed new clothes, a necklace from my in-laws (who also gave me some of the money I spent); two books ("Oryx and Crake" by Margaret Atwood, and "Lethal Factor" by Gabrielle Lord) and the two EPs released thus far by Little Birdy from Cam; a lovely but indescribable metal ladybird jewellery holder from Mum, and a toiletry set from Sarah. The stuff Sarah has given me is exactly the same pack she gave me at Christmas, just a different 'flavour', which didn't bother me at all, really. It's lavender though, and that gives me a headache, so I might end up passing it on to someone else. Not that Sarah could've had the faintest clue it was lavender scented - the label said "Blueberries and Cream" (!). I'm only expecting something from Jamie and Marie now.

That infection I've had isn't really clearing up yet. Sigh. I went back to the doctor today, with a fever this time. He's given me some kickarse antibiotics, which may or may not make me nauseous, but should definitely get rid of the infection. Here's hoping.
